Green Day have announced they will embark on a world tour next year, sharing on their socials: “It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for… taking The Saviors Tour on the road all summer long next year to celebrate 30 years of ‘Dookie,’ 20 years of ‘American Idiot’ + our new album ‘Saviors’!!! http://greenday.com/tour fueled by @monsterenergy @monstermusic”

The band — comprised of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool — later posted details X: “The Saviors Tour North America w/ @SmashingPumpkin, @Rancid & @TheLindaLindas. Sign up to mailing list by 11/7 to get access to pre-sale tickets http://greenday.com/tour Code will be sent at 3pm PT on 11/7. Pre-sale starts 11/8 @ 10am local. General on sale 11/10 @ 10am local.”

The tour will support the band’s new album, Saviors, as well as commemorate the 30th anniversary of Green Day’s breakthrough album Dookie, released February 1 1994, and the 20th anniversary of the band’s punk rock opera, American Idiot, which was released September 20 2004. The band said: “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!”

Green Day will tour Europe and the UK from May to June 2024, making a few festival stop-offs before landing in North America for dates between July-September in the US and Canada.  Serving as support in North America will be The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas. In Europe and the UK, Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, Donots, The Interruptors and Maid Of Ace will serve as support.
